Materials: 4.5mm needles

Worsted weight cotton in 2 colors (or 1 if preferred) main color (MC) contrast color (CC)

With MC, cast on 41sts.

Row 1: k18, ssk, (k2tog) 2x, k to end.

Row 2 and every other even row: Purl

Row 3: k17, (ssk) 2x, k2tog, k to end.

Row 5: k15, ssk, (k2tog) 2x, k to end.

Row7: (CC) k14, (ssk) 2x, k2tog, k to end.

Row 9: k12, ssk, (k2tog) 2x, k to end.

Row 11: k11, (ssk) 2x, k2tog, k to end.

Row 13: k9, ssk, (k2tog) 2x, k to end.

Row 15: k8, (ssk) 2x, k2tog, k to end.

Row 17: k6, ssk, (k2tog) 2x, k to end

Row 19: k5, (ssk) 2x, k2tog, k to end.

Row 21: k3, ssk, (k2tog) 2x, k to end.

Row 23: k2, (ssk) 2x, k2tog, k to end.

Row 25: k1, ssk, k2tog.

Cast off last 3

Edging: Crochet a single crochet around each coaster if desired.
