Lacey Grocery Bag Holder
Materials: 426yrdsworsted weight yarn.(bernat super saver)
5mm DPN’S
5mm crochet hook
14” length of 1/4 in elastic
Cast on 50 sts and divide onto 3 dpn’s. (more in even numbers if you prefer a fuller bag).
Rnd 1: knit
Rnd 2: *yo, k2tog* repeat from * to * to end of rnd.
Rnd 3: knit
Repeat rows 2 & 3 until bag measures 20” or desired length.
Cast off and darn in ends
With crochet hook chain 2 ties each 24inches long, or longer if you casted on extra stitches. Darn in ends.
Cut the elastic into 2- 7” pieces. Thread 1 through 4th rnd from top and 1 through 4th rnd from the bottom. Stitch ends of elastic securely. Thread a tie in same rnd as elastic.
Join yarn to top of bag at the 4th rnd and ch 10, join with sl st to beginning ch. Cut yarn and darn in ends securely.
