Pencil or Eyeglasses Case
Materials: 4ply worsted weight cotton (Bernat Handicraft) 50g/ 1 3/4 ounce ball
3.75mm needles (5.US) or 3.45DPN's (5.US)
Snap or Velcro. Or something to fasten to top closed.
Pattern:
Cast on 40sts
ROW1: Knit
ROW2: Purl.
Repeat these 2 rows (stockinette stitch) until piece measures 8 1/2 inches or until desired length.
Cast off 20sts
Continue in stockingette for 7 or 8 more rows, ending on a finished purled row.
*NEXT ROW: K1, k2tog, knit till last 3, k2tog, k1
NEXT ROW: Purl.
Repeat last 2 rows until 4sts remain, Cast off last 4sts.
Sew in yarn ends and sew up seams, add closure (snap, Velcro)*
If you rather on DPN's
Cast on 40 sts, divide on 3 needles and knit until piece measures 8 1/2 inches or desired length.
Cast off 20sts, and on 2 needles do stockinette for 7 or 8 more rows ending on a finished purl row.
Repeat from * to *.
