Need something to use your scraps on? just odd bits of colours left over from all the other washcloths you've made? Heres a great idea!
MATERIALS:
• Approx 64-73 meters (70-80 yards) of
Worsted Weight Cotton yarn scraps
• Size 4mm (6US) knitting needles
• Darning needle
Sample Pictured: 7.5”x 7.5”
This is a fantastic way to use up your scraps! We all have them, those few meters or more or less, left over from the last 3 dozen washcloths we made, in a rainbow of colours, that we just can’t throw out! Work them in any colour combo you like, in solids or variegated, planned or all willy nilly, no matter how you do it, it will be gorgeous and functional.
SIZE: (See above for size example)
Size is dependent on yarn used and personal gauge but easily blocked to desired dimensions.

GAUGE: 21sts = 4” in stockinette on 4mm needles.
NOTE:
*Any size cotton yarn or yarn of other fibre can be used to make cloths of varying sizes, afghan
squares or hot pads. Use the recommended needle size or appropriate needles to achieve a
nice fabric, depending on individual knitting tension and style.
*Follow row count & colour placement below to get make your washcloth same
as sample picture. Don’t forget you can be creative and create your own colour palette with
your scraps, knit as many rows of each colour as you want or have! Share your

Cast on 37 sts
All Rows – Knit. (76 rows)
In sample I alternated between Blue, Yellow, Green & Pink.
4 rows blue.
2 rows yellow.
4 rows blue.
2 rows yellow.

4 rows blue.
2 rows green.
4 rows blue.
4 rows pink.
2 rows yellow.
4 rows pink.
2 rows yellow.
4 rows pink.

Cast off, break yarn and darn in ends.
